Buying Copiers on the internet, A Must Read!I know a lot of you potential customers search the internet for deals but please! do
not purchase a Commercial copier over the INTERNET! I will not sell a Large Commercial Copier to you if you
are out of the Long Island N.Y. area, so don't ask. Let me tell you a story about a customer of mine and their experience.
I have this current customer of mine for about a year and he wanted to upgrade his copier and asked for prices on a
Canon ir5570 copier, I submitted my proposal for the copier installed and complete with network and the works for $
x,xxx.xx. They later call me and say a Salesman on the internet from Chicago is willing to sell it to them for $800.00
cheaper with a Year warranty, I told them "don't do it, you will regret it" As much to my amazement
they ordered the machine from this company out in Chicago, I call them Hoax to Hoax. Well... The customer ended up
paying $700.00 more than my original quote because they nickeled and dime them, they even charged them extra for a finisher
and fax option that should have been included with the machine! and get this, they charged them an extra $150.00 for a cheap
surge protector that I include with the purchase of the machine! Don't go away,
the story is not over yet, The machine comes in and who is going to set it up? Thats right, not them from Chicago, but
a local company. So now they have to pay my company to come in and set it up, we get there and the finisher is damaged
beyond repair. Now they have to get on the phone with them and have them ship another finisher. A week goes by and they call
me again to install the new finisher, I get there and complete the set up, but I notice the machine does not have an
option they were suppose to have (Universal Send), well back to the phone and arguing to the company Hoax to Hoax and
finally after two days of not scanning they were sent the needed software. Now the customer is all set to go right? wrong,
after a week and a half they call in again to say the RADF is no longer working, back we go to do yet another service call
on the doc feeder. Two weeks go by and they call in yet again! The machine is completely down and throwing an error code,
I get there and the fuser unit is completely locked up and needs new lower fuser bearings, which should have been replaced
in the alleged overhaul !! well this customer paid $700.00 more for the machine itself, plus an additional $600.00
for service and part fees for an outside customer to fix. Did I mention that they told this customer that the machine
had 250k on it and when they got it it had over 500k on it?!! Well folks, this is a true story of one of the many people
who make the poor decision to buy a 700 lb machine on line and have it shipped across the Country, with the idea that a service
provider will pop out of the box on arrival. Please folks, do not make this decision !

Be very skeptical when a salesman walks in your office and says...I have seen and heard salesman say this from the beginning of the digital multi-functional existence,
"Get rid of all your printers and fax machines and satellite machines and do all your office printing/scanning/coping
to one machine. Well this only benefits one person and thats the company that is selling the "one" machine! Yes,
all the clicks go to that company for maintenance contracts so of course that is what they are going to say. Beware
of the snake oil Salesman! I believe in a centrally located machine with satellite machines around them.
What happens when five people are trying to print at once? What happens when the machine runs out of of toner? what happens
when the machine goes down and needs service? You took away all your satellite machines so your employees have to get
up from their cubical and walk across the office to the "one" copier, in the mean while they will be stopping off
at the coffee machine and other coworkers on their way there and on their way back. Do the math, these are proven facts that
most companies will not tell you. If you deal with us we will tell you straight, we look to develop long lasting relationships
with our customers, not hit and runs.
Happy Holidays
